Tech Savvy September 25, 2019 A medical technician alleged that her former employer discriminated against her on the basis of her physical disability when the employer demoted her after adding new duties to her position that she could not fulfill because of her disability. The employee alleged that the individual who was later placed in this position did not have to perform those additional duties. The parties mediated the complaint and a settlement was reached. Under the settlement, the employer agreed to pay the technician a total of $45,000.
